CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – ICAM 2023 – THE ISRAELI CONFERENCE ON ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING: Research to Applications

Conference and Exhibition
March 13, 2023, at Kfar Maccabiah - Israel

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to AEAI ICAM 2023, the Israeli Conference on Additive Manufacturing, organized by the Association of Engineers, Architects and Graduates in Technological Sciences in Israel (AEAI).

AEAI ICAM 2023 aims to bring together engineers, scientists, regulators, and clinicians from industry, academia, and government to present leading-edge research and current applications regarding advancements in the Additive Manufacturing arena.

This one-day event will have its content divided, based on the submissions received, into two parallel oral sessions and an additional poster session. It will cover a wide array of topics related to polymer, metal, ceramic, and other materials, with an emphasis on aerospace, R&D, medical, defense, and general industry applications, among others.

The conference and exhibition will include high-level plenary talks, keynote lectures, and oral/poster presentations covering the latest research and innovations in the 3D and 4D printing fields. We are confident that this event will offer exciting research and business opportunities to all participants.

The global 3D printing market is expected to expand at a CAGR of approximately 20% from 2022 to 2030. Globally, some 2 million 3D printers were shipped in 2021 – a figure that is expected to reach 20 million units per year by 2030. Research and development in 3D and 4D printing, together with the growing demand for prototyping applications within various industry verticals, is expected to fuel the sustained growth of this market.

As AM technologies are increasingly adopted by various industries, establishing feedstock-process-structure-property-performance relationships becomes essential for part qualification and certification in safety critical applications. This conference and exhibition address the application-specific requirements of various industry sectors in addition to covering the fundamentals of the AM process chain.

Professionals in the AM community, from industry, academia, and government agencies, are invited to submit abstracts in the following areas:

  • Design for AM (DFAM)
  • Innovations in the industry
  • Mechanical properties and microstructure of materials, including metals, polymers, ceramics, and other related feedstocks
  • 3D printing and implants
  • 4D printing
  • Industry standards, qualification, and certification
  • Personalized medicine’s transformative effect on healthcare
  • Advanced tissue engineering scaffolds and 3D printing
  • Data management, sharing, analysis, and beyond
  • Modeling, scanning, and post processing
  • 3D printing in UAV/drone manufacturing
  • Additional relevant subjects within the scope of the conference may be accepted

Please note that keynote lectures have a duration of 30 minutes, and regular lectures have a duration of 20 minutes.

For oral presentations for the Industry Spot Light Session , kindly submit abstracts of up to 300 words. The title should be a maximum of 15 words. Please include a short bio of the presenting author, not exceeding 100 words. All the above should be submitted in English, no later than January 19, 2023. Participation in the Industry Spot Light Session, requires an axhibitorqsponsorship fee.

For Poster , kindly submit abstracts  in English, no later than February 1, 2023 (Click here for poster instructions >>)

Notification of abstracts accepted for poster presentation will be sent by email no later than February 3, 2023. Presenters of the accepted abstracts are required to register for the conference.
